So crazy me has wanted to be on the Price Is Right show for as long as I can remember. Our turn to visit finally came so here's a little recap of the big event. Two cars of us crazy game show lovers drove down to Los Angeles to visit Drew. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, checked into our hotels and of course checked out the little walk to where the line will form the next morning - or so we thought! There was a man in line when we got down there, yes Sunday afternoon the line started, he suggested we get in line around midnight. Totally freakin out - what do we do!?! Sleep or get in line? We walked back to our hotel and asked the man at the front corner what he thought, 3 am was average. That's right 3 freakin am wholly cow that's early. So we decided to be safe we would get in line around 2:30am, no big deal that would give us 4 hours of sleep. So we went to dinner at this cute diner with a crazy waitress (another long story) and headed to Hollywood (another long story, see next post) and then turned in to bed around 10:30 with our phone alarms set at 2:15. So 2 am rolls around a lot faster than you think and I hear Kendra up so I get up too, not to long after Taylor is up and then Allison. So we throw are sweats on and grab our books (the nerds) and magazines (the college girls) and head out. Well actually we decided we needed something to sit on so we borrowed the blanket off the hotel bed. Thanks hotel we promise to bring it back (and we did). We took the couple block walk to find 20 crazier people in line ahead of us. Yes 20 people, the first guy was still there and the next ladies had been out there since 11pm. We were perfectly happy with #21. From 2:30 to about 6:15 we just hung out waiting for our passes to secure our seat on the show. Totally worth the wait.
We sat in 5 lines for the day. Four at the show and one for dinner! What a cool and smooth process. First - to receive our Order of Arrival pass which secures your seat in the audience. Second - to fill out paperwork and receive your name tag. Third - interview with the producer and his assistant - you audition for your spot on contestants row. Fourth - waiting to get in the studio. Fifth - dinner line at Bubba Gumps!
The show was amazing. Even though one of us did not get picked it was very cool to see the studio live. I always watch the show and wonder why the contestant doesn't pay attention to what the audience advice is - well now I know. There are so many cameras and crew members trying to get the audience pumped up that the contestant can't really see much of the audience.
After the show, dinner and the drive home I think we were up for a total of 22 hours and it was totally worth it!
Super Fun! I can't wait to go again.

Big Boy Tub
Gannon is growing so fast! In the past couple of weeks he has been trying really hard to sit up in his tub that you put in the sink so we decided it was time for him to graduate to the big boy tub. Way cool - we get to bathe both boys at the same time - YEAH!!! Garrett also thought it was super cool for Gannon to be in the tub with him.

Garrett at the Beach!
Garrett was really excited to go to the beach for the sand - not the water! Our normal beach experiences are in Pismo so it's a lot cooler and the water is cold so we don't usually even try to go in the water. The sand in Santa Cruz is very fine and dry so we needed a little water to build with the sand. We tried so hard to get Garrett down to the water to fill his bucket and he wanted nothing to do with that...for a while. Soon he was in the water, shorts rolled up, shorts now wet and hey, please take my shirt off this is fun.

Brotherly Love!
As Gannon gets older Garrett really wants to play with him and have him enjoy what Garrett is. It's so cute to see Garrett love his little brother and to watch Gannon's eyes light up when Garrett is right in his face baby talking with him.
Garrett really wanted Gannon to sit with him at the BBQ at Auntie Gin & Uncle Bob's.

Running Errands With Kids!
Obviously running errands can be a chore in itself then we added two boys to the mix it's worse!!! We ran out of bottled water for our dispenser yesterday so I thought to get Garrett and Gannon (okay Garrett) out of the house we would take a quick trip to the "water store". Well quick was surely not the right word. As soon as we pull in, I saw Great Clips and remembered Garrett was due for a haircut, so I called to make sure our guy we like was working. He was, so I thought we'll head there after the we grab the water. Well, Garrett knows that Lowe's has the cool carts he can climb in and out of so of course the one we were already in from the parking lot was not good enough. So instead of fighting a screaming two year old at the store, there we were in the entrance changing carts. Literally all we needed from the hardware store was water so that was a pretty fast one.
Off to get a haircut next. Walking up to Great Clips, Garrett recognized our fast food - a "jamich" (sandwich) shop, so immediately he starts asking for a jamich. Well, it was getting close to dinner so I again thought, we'll go there next. I guess my Lowe's trip wasn't as fast as I thought because 4 people showed up at to get a haircut while we grabbed water, so we had a little wait. Garrett is so good at being a big boy getting his haircut. He know announces to the store when water is getting sprayed on his head for the cut. He is so funny.
Next stop - the sandwich store. Turkey and cheese only please, only because they don't have butter (peanut butter) jamiches! With the kids meal you get a choice of teddy grams or an Oreo. Duh - teddy grams, I hate Oreos. Oops lets go back, once they were out of teddy grams so I ended up with an Oreo and it was in the cupboard at home and Dave gave it to Garrett one day. Apparently he loves Oreos. So now we get Oreos. After ordering his sandwich and hiding the Oreo for after dinner his next questions is where the juice? Most of our trips to the sandwich shop end with eating them at home so he gets milk, but he knows when we eat there he gets juice in a big boy cup. I guess milk is not a big thing for people to buy at the sandwich store, because they don't sell it. Why are we eating there, because don't you know the book store is also in the same parking lot! So Garrett ate good because he knew where we were going next.
Next stop the book store - no questions asked, Mommy had to potty before heading to the kids books. I'll remind myself next before leaving the sandwich shop because Garrett screamed the whole way to the bathroom and thank goodness no-one else was in there because he wouldn't leave the door closed. I love the person who invented the toddler seat on the wall in the handicap stall - it's a little chair that you put (actually strap) your little one so they can't escape while you potty. Super great idea, but our bookstore doesn't have one. Garrett hasn't discovered that he could just go under the door, so our doors gets opened, yes while you potty!!! So much fun - really!?! Okay, off to the children's book section, which by the way don't try to carry him to - he can find is own way. Determined little guy! I have now idea where he gets that!!!
So needless to say, out quick trip to the water store took 2 hours! Gannon of course was just great to go along for the ride. I at least had a bottle and some of his milk or we would have had to upset big brother and head home. Kids are so funny.

We're on a Roll!!!
Gannon can now roll over. Front to back and back to front. He is really fast at rolling from his tummy to his back and picking up speed in the other direction also. He can now put himself in the sleeping position of his choice which we are discovering is left side. If I lay him down on his right side or his back he will soon have himself sleeping on the left. Yeah....

Visit with Jaxon!
Jaxon was hanging out with G Ma and MaMu so Gannon and I stopped by for a quick visit. Jaxon was nice to share is toy with Gannon and poor guy was getting pushed off...not very nice little Gannon. I guess he is learning to be rough from his big brother. You can see in the last picture how strong our little guy is getting, trying to sit up off the wedge. Look out!!!
