Celebrating Aunt Dolly

Dave's Great Aunt Dolly passes away so we went down to Southern California to celebrate her life with the Gossman Family.  Although it was sad, there was a great service for her and lots of family to see and celebrate with.  Dave's Mom joined for the services and we knew she would be riding back from Valencia to San Luis with us so we put the third row of seat in my car and moved the boys to the back.  They both LOVED that!

We hadn't been down as a family of four to visit everyone so it was nice to get to see Dave's family and visit.  This is the side of the family that has always done the BIG 4th of July picnic at Mar Vista Park, specifically Aunt Dolly, so let's hope we can keep her spirit alive with the annual family gathering for the 4th.

Skate Night

Rollerland was one of my favorite places to be as a kid so it was no surprise when I got Garrett flyer from school for their first skate night that I was very excited to take him!  We have not taken the boys skating, but anything for Chenoweth and Garrett is excited.  Dave wasn't as excited so him and Gannon stayed behind.  Garrett's feet were too big for the skates that they can tighten the wheels on, but he did well for his first time.  Let me tell you, it's hard to hold a child up on skates when you're in them yourself and it was quite the workout.  I love that Garrett has a determined personality because although at a point he was very frustrated, he stuck to it and toward the end of the night he was getting much better.  We'll definitely be going back for more!
