A Quick Round of Golf and a Little SVF time!

We hadn't been to visit Grandpa and Grandma Ingalls for a while so we decided to head to Modesto and play a quick round of miniature golf with them and the boys. Garrett actually did really well, he even got a hole in one. He was pretty funny he would hit the ball from the starting place (does that have a name?) and if he didn't like where it stopped he would just pick it up and move it closer to the hole and proceed. Gannon was is his own little world and he didn't care to hit the ball at all, he just went around picking up ALL the ball and carrying them to the hole! Funny little people.

Dave took Garrett for a ride on the go carts and Garrett really wasn't too sure about this one. He didn't cry, but didn't crack a smile either. Gannon thought it was fun to watch for them and when he would see Dave's red hat would let out a huge scream, "Dadda".

After our very fast round of golf we headed to Grandpa and Grandma's for dinner. George, Ashleigh, and Syenna (SVF) came too! This was the boys first time meeting Syenna and Gannon didn't even get sad when I held her, much to my surprise. He wasn't too sure about trying to take a picture with her. See below.

Taking the Monkeys to See Monkeys

I decided we needed a playdate with Jaxon and Robin in Fresno so we decided to take the boys to the zoo. Tricia and Nathan joined so it was a full boy trip! Our boys love the zoo and had a great time checking out all the animals.

Garrett watching the monkeys
Gannon checking on Mommy
Tricia and Nathan
Robin and Jax feed the giraffe
A bunch of boys
Our monkeys climbing the fence
The petting zoo is always the best and of course they loved the goats.
Brushing the goats.

Gannon's New Favorite

Gannon's new favorite thing to do is brush his teeth! I'm not sure if it's the brushing the teeth part he loves as much as climbing the stool and turning on the water. We need to work on our water conservation because he wants it on full blast the entire time. Turn it off and he turns it right back on. Maybe the dentist told him something I didn't hear, but I don't remember he saying brush your teeth 10 times a days! We have to be really careful not to leave the stool in front of the sink or he would be in there all day.

Summer Numbers - Updated

So we have a few numbers for the summer. If you have read the blog to date you can see we have been very busy this summer!

So we spent 26 nights in a bed other than the our own. Well kinda, 16 were in our trailer so I guess that counts as our own, but 26 nights in another location!

25 blog entries.

I successfully read 5 books over my two months without school which was a nice change.

Created 24 scrapbook pages (2 page spreads each) - pretty impressed with this number. I also caught up on the journals in Gannon's entire scrapbook. I was pretty behind on this.

I also became addicted to Family Feud on Facebook and probably have played 75 games! Okay I know thank goodness school started, but it's a fun game. This number is an estimate, but I know OUT of control!

I almost forgot the best numbers:
I discovered 1 very overflowing apricot tree in our backyard when we came home from our camping trip so I canned 33 jars of apricot jam, 5 of apricot freezer jam, canned 4 jars of apricot syrup, made 1 apricot pie, 2 apricot cobblers, dried 8 trays of apricots and froze 6 freezer bags of apricot halves! Holy cow that is a lot of freakin apricots.

I wrote 0 papers!!!

Gannon's Big Boy Chair

We decided to try Gannon at the big table in a booster seat and boy did he think he was the coolest! At first he just sat there looking around with a big smile on his face, leaning forward and back. He did a couple double takes at his highchair, which was in the corner, but loved his new seat. He ate dinner with a big smile! I kept asking him if he wanted to sit in the baby chair and he would do his "na" and shake his head. Funniest part was when dinner was over he didn't want to get down for almost 30 minutes. He just wanted to sit and be a big boy...cute and sad all at the same time.

Look I'm a big boy

Final meal in his highchair.
