I was hoping this picture included Mr. Wilcox, but I guess he hadn't sat down yet. Gannon was his little side kick for a bit at the fair. I love this family and will be sad when their youngest graduates. We have 3 more years and they are such a neat family.

Our New Double Stroller
Yesterday I didn't take the stroller into the fair and carried tired Gannon all the way out. Since I had the diaper bag and a little cooler I knew I didn't want to cart out all that and a kid so I took the stroller along. We made it work...

Let the Fair Begin!
Gannon was having a great time climbing the bleachers at the fair this afternoon. He was giving me his crazy man "nooo" response! Actually he really wanted to smile and pose because he had just asked me to tell him to smile! This kid is seriouly a crack up.
And by the way, I never said my picture of the day wouldn't be at the end of the day...I almost forgot already!

Two Little Duckies
Ham-Ma (or Grandma) brought the boys matching duck bath towels and they were so excited to get out of the bath. This can be a struggle some nights because they love to splash and play in the water. Thanks Mom for the treat!

Project with the Greats
I am just sitting here thinking how blessed our boys are to have Great Grandparents and more than one set! My Grandpa and Grandma Ingalls were down for a visit to Dad's so the boys and I headed up to spend the day with them. With the fair fast approaching Dave was not able to join us, but we had a fun day. Garrett and Gannon have several projects to enter into the fair this year and needed to work on part of a project so we took it along.
Plotted plants will be entered by both Garrett and Gannon so we needed to paint the pots. They both always love a project and this was a perfect little activity for us to enjoy watching them. Sporting their "paint shirts" here they are for our daily photos!

Summer Time
Another great perk of being a teacher is summer's off! Today is Garrett and Gannon's first day home for the summer. We don't have too much planned other than the fair activities next week and 4 week of swim lessons. Other than that we don't have any concrete plans.
I am going to challenge myself for the next 60 days to do a "picture a day" and post it.
Today's picture is from a quick run to Lowe's in Turlock on the way to Dave's eye appointment. I would like to thank this particular child cart designer. Notice the car is right in front of the parents at an elevated height so the kids cannot climb in and out as they please yet it was still very fun for them to ride in! I don't think store really realize how much easier these little carts make shopping for Mom's and Dad's!

A Little Crop Activity
Dave needed to plant corn at the school so we took the opportunity to get the boys out of the house since it had been raining for 3 days. Atwater soil dries out pretty fast so we didn't have to worry about mud. Dave put holes where he wanted the corn and the boys were in charge of placing a kernel of corn in each hole. Garrett's precise personality did great for this project and Gannon became bored and throwing corn very fast! Dave and I completed the final 4 of six plots and man do I have an appreciation for field workers, my back was killing me!
It was a fun little activity, but I'll pass next year!
