Santa Claus

Downtown San Luis has a Santa House every year and it's awesome because for $5 you can use your own camera to take your kids picture with Santa.  Since we never know how are kids are going to do with Santa I hate to pay a lot of money for a Santa picture at the mall, but I have to have a picture.  My Mom, Taylor and I took the boys to see Santa and not only is the price great, they had a craft table set up to keep the kids occupied while you wait in line.  The line really wasn't too bad, but the it was perfect to keep them happy.  Garrett did great and Gannon wanted nothing to do with Santa!!! Garrett even told Santa exactly what he wanted for Christmas and Gannon just held on to Grandma for dear life! Maybe next year they'll both sit with him.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we joined Dave's family.  Taylor really wanted to come too so she camped with us for one night.  I even talked my Mom and Eddie to joining us!  Heather and Juan were very kind to allow my parents and Taylor to stay at their place while they were in the Valley with Juan's family.  It was a fun filled day with both families.  Joe and Shannon were so great to host for both families.  Garrett and Gannon love to hang out at Uncle Joe and Aunt Shannon's!  Calam was the official turkey carver and Joe cooked most everything else and always does an awesome job!

After eating and most taking a nap we went with Karley to feed her horse.  Garrett fed the horse, but Gannon wasn't no part of that.  Just wanted to run around with Grandma Toni.  It so nice to have both families together and enjoy a holiday with everyone.

Christmas Card Pictures

The beach is always a nice backdrop for pictures so we decided to take a few shots for our Christmas card picture.  We took lots and decided on this one for the card.  Some of the other cute ones are below!

Arroyo Grande Fire Station

When Dave was attending Cal Poly he was a paid volunteer with the Arroyo Grande Fire Department.  Since Gannon loves fire trucks he combine a visit to his old buddies with an adventure for the boys.  Of course, they were both thrilled to climb and play on all the fire trucks.  From the antique fire truck to the new ones they had a blast.

SLO Children's Museum

After almost 5 years of babies and all our trips to San Luis we finally went to visit the San Luis Children's Museum.  Shannon and I took the boys while Dave was golfing with DeRose.  What a fun little place!  I can't believe we've never gone.  Garrett and Gannon had so much fun in the three story museum.  It was full of lots of hands on activities for them.  We played on the first floor for a while and as soon as we made it to the second floor Gannon was in absolute heaven - a fire truck, kitchen, and train!  Garrett had fun in all the same areas.  It was a week day so it wasn't too crowded and the boys had a great time.  Dressing up as firemen, making us lunch and dessert, and playing dress up in the farm animal area.  We will definitely visit more often now that we have discovered the fun!

Stone Soup

Garrett and Gannon made Stone Soup at school with their classes and all the families where invited to enjoy the product.  Each family donated a portion of the soup.  Garrett brought a potato and Gannon was in charge of an onion.  Thank goodness Daddy was still at Jury Duty so he even was able to buzz over on his lunch break.  It was fun to see the boys so excited about cooking something that we would enjoy.  Gannon was a chore to keep away from the dessert table and if he could eat any of it would you blame him!

Pirate Party

Gannon's friend Owen from the boys old preschool had a pirate party and invited the boys.  I was out of town at my annual scrapbook retreat so Dave took the boys and did a great job grabbing pictures too!  What a great Daddy we have.  Owen has a huge pirate ship play structure in his backyard, perfect for a pirate party.  Garrett and Gannon had so much fun playing pirates at the party.
