This year Gannon is old enough to join Garrett on his Tball team. This was their first practice and Garrett the avid baseball fan that he was very excited...Gannon on the other hand was not really! The plus for Garrett was that he knew what to expect, same coach and many of the players from last year, and same practice location. Consistency and predictability is key with this kid! Gannon was good because his brother was there! Garrett did not start playing until he was 5 and Gannon being only 4 is a little challenge, but since he's on the same team we went for it. The first practice went well for the most part, Gannon "finished" a little early and needed to reload his fuel tank so he started his dinner a little before practice ended. Since practice ended at 6 and to save my sanity I packed a picnic to eat at the end. I have learned a few tricks in my 6 years as a Mom that just make life easier!

Bowling with Grandpa & Grandma
Garrett, Gannon, and I went to Modesto to hang out with Dad and Dianne today and decided to take the boys bowling. Dianne's brother has worked at the bowling alley in Modesto for 20+ years and played with us too. Both boys loved bowling and of course Garrett loved tracking the scores! After 2 games they really started to get the hang of it!
Tim gave us a behind the scenes tour after our games were over.

Love is in the Air
Valentine's Day is a day that I make a special presentation of our dinner! We don't eat out much as a family and surely am not going to go out to dinner on a crazy crowded night. It's the one night a year that we use our "special" heart plates and have a candle lit dinner. The boys love it. Dave brought home a single rose and told Gannon to ask me, "to accept this rose"! Okay, we've watch many too many seasons of the Bachelor/Bachelorette!!!

Giants Trophy Tour
We all know Garrett is a HUGE Giants fan so of course when the World Series Trophy's were going to be at the fair grounds we had to take him!
He was excited when we told him, ran upstairs to change his shirt and grab a hat. Just Garrett and I went and he was perfectly happy to stand in the hour line to get a close up of the trophy's. They had trivia posted around the line and I was amazing that this little guy even knew the answers to some of the questions.
Already a die hard fan!

Honey Bun Run
I continue to sign up for runs to keep me on track, in the gym, and on the streets! I ran this race last year because how do you pass a local run up? This was my first 10k last year and I can tell I am way less stressed about the whole race thing! With the boys party the day prior to the run I forgot all about picking up my race packet, until it was too late! Thank goodness I was able to grab the morning of the race, which I was running late for! I made it in time to get my number, run my goody bag back to the car and find a partner for the run. The girls that work at Bagel Tyme run and one of their friends was a little slower than my pace. I talked her into letting me push her a bit for a better time. I did beat my time from last years race by a couple minute with a 53:34, but was not a PR. It was a good run and Moni, who ran with me, did metal in her age group and had a PR!!! Now I need to find someone to push me! Dave says I always look like I'm not dying at the end, so I have more to give! I'm just strolling!
Next run...another 1/2 Marathon!

Celebrate Toy Story Style
Garrett and Gannon had a great time celebrating their birthdays! Our littlest guest was Matthew, so cute in his Woody hat. All the bigger kids loved playing bingo, a few liked the cookie markers more! Pin the Tail on Bullseye was interesting. Opening presents took a while with two boys, but each patiently waited for their turn as they rotated through opening each gift and saying Thank you. Both boys are all set for this season of Tball now and we have Lego's and Toy Story galore.
It was a fun day. Thank you to all that helped us celebrate!
Toy Story Party Set Up
I really wanted to do a combo party this year for the boys to make my life a little easy and also for our guests. Having two birthdays 6 weeks apart and right after Christmas is a challenge so why do it twice! After much thought and research I found a theme that would be perfect for both of them, Toy Story. I started checking out Pin's on Pinterest and got to work. Photo booth created, basic cupcakes ordered that I could "doctor" to make aliens, bingo game created, and decorations ordered. I'm not sure what was more fun for the boys, helping set everything up or the actual party...okay probably the party. Another perk..."Pizza Party" delivered! It was another cute, fun Gossman party if I do say so myself!
