Carriage Ride

We took the boys on a carriage ride around Old Town Sacramento and it was too fun to watch their eyes. We were there on a beautiful day, it was almost hot! Well, hot for winter anyway.

Sacramento Railroad Museum

Dave had a four day weekend so we decided to spend two days in Sacramento being tourist. Our first stop was the Railroad Museum in Old Town Sacramento. Garrett is in love with trains lately so we thought he would really enjoy all the big trains. He did, but not as much as the Thomas set that was in the gift shop and in the play area! Gannon loved to explore around the museum and made himself right at home getting around.

Oops, busted little guy

Gannon liked this display so he was going back

And the real excitement!!!
Watch out for destruction!!!

Tumble Time

I decided this month to switch Garrett from music class to a gym class so we started at the beginning of the month, or the last week of January. I can't remember! Garrett stays home with me on Wednesday mornings and we go to the gym class and then he goes to school.

Coach Liz is his teacher and she thought he would take a few sessions to warm up, yeah right, he took of running within minutes of the first class. He LOVES it! Each session Coach Liz has set up a different warm up routine. Each time there is a balance section, a roll or somersault section, and a bar section. He has gotten really good walking on the balance beams and he can even bend down and pick stuff up while walking on it. Dave has always said they got my balance which will help them on the slopes in the future!

After the quick free time at the start they do a little stretching on a colored mat, Garrett's is always purple of course. He is funny with this part, sometimes he participates, most of the time he just watches. Later in the week he will do the stretches at home. He has soak up what is being done before he will participate! After this there is a tumble trak that they jump on and Garrett has gotten a lot better at jumping with his feet together vs just running down the trak. The Jump and Sit trampoline is a kind of tricky one for Garrett still, he hasn't master this one, but I'm sure will someday.

Something fun and different to do with Garrett and great for him to exhaust some energy!

All done, time for bubbles!

Oops...I'm a little behind

I have had great thoughts and events to blog about this past month, but as you can see I'm a little behind!!!

I finally finished editing our blog book to be published as a printed memory book and it is on it's way to us now. I have learned a lot of what not to do this year so next years books doesn't take quite as long to edit. Video's are great for this blog, but obviously not for the book so I will try to always put pictures with any video's that may be shared. Also, I learned that the photo collages are great for this blog purpose, but are a huge pain in the book. So with that said, these will be minimal this year!

Happy reading!!!

About Me!

My about me will be missing for a bit. I am taking a class that we had to set a blog for and so I used my same account. All this information apparently shows up on both accounts, so I took it off until this class is over. Not that you don't all know "about me" anyway!

Adventure Day

Dave has been very exited to take the boys to play in the snow. I was not convinced that this was such a great idea with a 1 and 3 year old, but we decided to go anyway. I had bought snow pants for the boys when I saw them on sale at Target because last year when we had thoughts of going everything was sold out. So we loaded up our snow gear and headed up to Long Barn for a snow day. Dave had this vision of snow hills all over that you could pull off and play at - SO not the case. There was one hill that was quite packed so we kept driving in search of another spot. NO SUCH LUCK!!! Back to Strawberry Hill we went.

By this time it had started to snow and the boys and Mommy were a little cranky! We pulled off the road and started to get the boys all suited up to go play. This was production let me tell you! Once we were out on the hill they were both find to sled down a couple of times. Once Garrett's hands "got dirty" with snow he was no longer happy. It was pretty cold so back to the car we went. We did get very cute pictures from our 20-25 minutes in the snow...not really worth the 5 hours of driving! (round trip)

I think we'll wait a couple of years to try this again!!!

Okay - time to go...

Music Time

Gannon's first day of music class was today and he loved it. We invited Robin and Jax up to join us and even Jax had a great time and was very comfortable with Mrs. Shelly. Garrett loved goinging to music class so now it's Gannon's turn to go with Mommy. Garrett's new Mommy time will be at Tumble Time starting next week.
