A birthday party for Aunti Gin

Aunit Gin celebrated her birthday yesterday so the family got together for a bbq and party.  The boys had a great time running around.  the {kakery} made another beautiful cake and Aunti Gin loved it!

My own Ratatouille

Garrett has been into Ratatouille lately so when I cook he wants to be just like Ratatouille and help.  He pulls up a chair and stirs and pours in what I will let him.  He was in a pretty bad mood and it was time to start our mini meatloaf dinner so I asked him to help.  As you can see he was then all smiles! Great little helper.

Ice Cream Man

I was eating an ice cream one night and Gannon wanted a bite.  This is why I normally wait for them to go to bed before I have my ice cream...I lost it to my 20 month old!!!  He was too dang cute with it though.  Gannon was so excited that he to hold a big ice cream all by himself.  NO I didn't let him eat the whole thing.  About as much as you see in these pictures and off to the bath we went.

The coldness of the ice cream had him laughing so hard that he could hardly hold on to it.

I think the drumstick company should have his as their spokesman!!!

A Visit with Papa

While I was away for the weekend Dave took the boys to visit Papa.  They also went to Lowe's for the project of the weekend, the fire truck in Gannon's hands.

 Gannon happy as always!
Garrett, no sure!

Scrapbook Retreat

I started attending crops back in May thanks to my friend Rebekah for connecting me with a great group of scrapbook ladies.  It is so nice to be able to go and spread out all my stuff and just focus on my scrapbook.  I am not able to do this at home because Garrett is very into projects and is quick with scissors!  Anyway, I was invited to join the group for a scrapbook retreat that happened to be on my birthday and through that weekend.  After thinking it over and talking to Dave, I decided I would go.

The retreat was at a nice cabin in Twain Harte and was AWESOME!!!! Not only did I complete 43 double page spreads, I also had meals prepared for me the entire weekend! What a treat.  It was so nice to set all our stuff up on Friday afternoon and literally sit and scrapbook for 17 hours on Saturday!  Not to mention the time on Friday and Sunday.

I look forward to making this an annual event!

Potato Head Pumpkins

Grandma brought Garrett and Gannon some Mr. Potato Head costumes for pumpkins so when Garrett's friend from school invited the class over to pick pumpkins he was very excited.  Garrett and Gannon each got to bring a pumpkin home from the field trip and Garrett went straight to decorating his pumpkin.

After dinner we decided to take the boys on a wagon walk and of course the pumpkins had to come too.  Garrett put the nicely in his shopping cart and off we went.  He was very serious to push them carefully around the neighborhood!

All ready to go

Gannon was so confused - trying to figure out what the heck his brother was doing.

Comfort of Home!

I started back to work mid September with an all new career which meant the boys went back to daycare.  For the first couple of weeks every afternoon when we got home Gannon ran around saying uuummm (SP?) until we would get the vacuum out.  I guess the vacuum is a comfort sound to him.  Go figure!
