Happy Halloween

When we asked Garrett what he wanted to be for Halloween this year, he said Buzz Lightyear.  We explained that he was that last year and really he didn't care!  So hey, be him again, works for me.  We thought Gannon could go as Woody and that would be cute to match the Toy Story theme.  I pieced together Gannon costume from stuff we had and the yellow shirt and hankie that I bought and we were good to go.  Both boys looked SO cute.  Garrett didn't want to leave the purple hood on and Gannon wouldn't wear his hat, but they still were so cute.

We joined The Evans' family for dinner and Trick-or-Treating and it was cute to watch the little ones make their rounds.  Garrett of course understood this year and Gannon and Aaron caught on quickly that this meant CANDY!!! Aaron was hilarious - poor Aleicia couldn't take his candy away fast enough and he was eating it right though the wrappers.  We had a great time.

Cupcake Decorating

For Halloween the {kakery} had a cupcake decorating event.  I figured Gannon was not at the age where this would be much fun (for me to clean up) so I thought it would be fun for just Garrett and Mommy to go.  Garrett loves to cook at home so I thought he would really like this.  He had fun, but of course wouldn't eat th cupcake.  He did lick all the frosting off! Pure sugar!!!

Yum, that's pretty good!

Corn Maze

The Atwater FFA has an annual field trip to the Corn Maze so this year we took both boys.  This was Gannon's first trip.  This year they added a toddler section with small bounce houses, which are Gannon's favorite, so they were in heaven and could have stayed in this area all night.

Gannon was helping me enjoy my favorite part of the trip - the pumpkin blasters.  These little pumpkins are loaded into potato guns and shot at targets in the field.  Gannon had fun with this.  Garrett on the other hand, hated it!
 Gannon shooting with Mommy.
Gannon was trying so hard to carry this pumpkin to the car!
Grandpa and Grandma joined us for the evening and we had tons of fun.
Garrett's highlight might have been leading with the flashlight in the corn maze.  It was pretty muddy so we didn't get to spend much time in the maze.
And as you can see Gannon was super excited to ride the train around the place.

Sunday Morning

Sunday mornings = coffee, reading, and football.

Gannon loves to read and the book he chose was an old Barney book we have where Barney is a little puppet.  He is signing in this picture for more.  As you can see, he started the morning in his Dolphins shirt and shortly after this picture he pulled it off and threw a fit for a different shirt.  I told Dave that meant the Dolphins were going to lose, of course not what he wanted to hear, but they did!  See Gannon knew.

Garrett is out little tech boy and was coloring on Dad's Iphone
Yeah - new shirt and feet kicked up to watch some football!
And here is my true confession.  The things I said I would never let me children do!  Garrett is watching a Diego video in his room on our portable DVD player! OMG, what is wrong with me?  I guess the answer is one tv, football season = Daddy's watching tv and Garrett was in heaven!

Andrew's 8th Birthday Party

Cousin Andrew invited us to join in his celebration for his 8th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.  Garrett and Gannon had a great time.  Andrew was so excited to have his cousins at his party, it was cute.  Our families schedules are usually off so it was nice to spend time with Mark and Susan.  The Fresno C.E.C. has a great toddler section that they boys really enjoyed.  Dave found the game to supply the most tickets with the least amount of effort, Operation, and mastered it so we ended up with over 500 tickets.  Just enough to buy more cheap crap for around the house! (I know my negative thought)

Bareny was even there - back in the day Garrett would have loved this ride.

Dave being silly as always!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

For Dave's birthday this year I ordered a Miami Dolphins Cake from {the Kakery} and it turned out so cute.  Garrett is now to the age where he understands the whole birthday/party/cake concept so he was excited to sing and have candles for Daddy.  Gannon likes to sing and of course loved the cake.

 "Happy Birthday to you!"
 And a kiss too
This is the look we got from Garrett when we asked him for a kiss
Gannon's cake didn't have a chance

For All Ages

For Dave's birthay he bought himself a remote control helicopter.  Who knew this would be so entertaining for him and the boys.  Gannon especially loves this little toy.  Dave explained to him that he has to be gentle with the helicopter so when it crashes he runs to grab in and sets it softly on the coffee table and strokes it like it's a pet.  Funniest thing to watch.  This is Dave's new entertainment piece when I am finishing dinner.  Much better than a little guy trying to climb my leg while I cook!
