We survived our second Saturday without daddy and "Chucky" never even came over to play! I would like to thank Babies R Us for shipping my stroller in 4 days vs the 6 to 10 it was suppose to take. UPS knocked on the door yesterday around 4 to deliver our great new ride. Not only did it come in handy today it was a great project for Garrett to help put together yesterday. I would also like to thank myself for researching Saturday activities in Merdead!
The bookstore does story time on Saturdays at 11 so we headed over to listen. This is one of the many stores Garrett is very familiar with so as we pulled in the parking lot I heard the "ear you go" from the backseat as he wanted to hand over his blanket for safe keeping while we went inside. He knew the exact path to the kids section so I gladly followed behind. Garrett loves books so he was happy to sit back and listen as the lady read. After the story was over he had to play on the stage for a bit and then was happy to leave saying goodbye to all the books on the way out and didn't even want to buy a new book. From there we headed to one of his favorite (and mine) places for lunch - Port of Subs. Because I frequent the place I pulled out the handy cell on the way and had our order started so it would be ready when we got there. Garrett was great to finish his turkey and cheddar sandwich. We returned home for nap time, which he again was great and went to bed without any second thought. After nap was the best part, Garrett was happy to climb in the front seat of our new stroller to take a walk. He didn't want to put his shoes on so I had to be sure our walk didn't take us by the neighborhood park. We walked for about 45 minutes and he was so cute pointing out colors of things along the route. I could hear him mumbling to himself along the way. Dinner was great and we watched the beginning of Toy Story - a new found video he will watch - prior to heading upstairs for bath and bedtime. Gannon was with us and Garrett heard him leave me a package in his pants so he was fine when I said I had to leave to change Gannon. So the house has been silent for about an hour now and I just might go jump in bed!!! YEAH - what a great day with the boys.
Next Saturday I think we'll check out the zoo!!! Check back for updates....

Mother of Two...
Last Saturday was the start of "The Busy Season" as Dave calls it which means every Saturday from now till the end of May life at the Gossman house is crazy. Dave will be gone coaching his dairy products team and Garrett & Gannon will be hanging out with Mommy at home!!! Garrett is a product of me - translation - doesn't sit at home in one room well for hours on end! So to get out of the house I thought we could run to the mall and pick up our pictures and make a short venture to the ATM which is just across the way from JC Penny's (as most of you know our mall is not big). Garrett walked with me into JC Penny's and has I paid for my pictures he ran off - the chase begins... back to the picture studio we pay for our pictures. Now I'm crazy enough to still walk to the ATM. Garrett takes off running and laughing down the mall because how fun for mommy to chase you. By the way as she pushes sleeping brother Gannon in the stroller.
Let's go back a bit - prior to Gannon's arrival we debated a double stroller. After other moms saying what a hassle they were and comments like "when you go out there will be two of you - one for each child" we decided against one. Well let me tell you when you're married to an Ag teacher there are lots of times there won't be two of us. After my great mall experience I called Dave to explain my "Chucky" experience. He said lets try the child leash from Target first. How fun, a cute monkey backpack with a leash attached. Sunday Dave the boys and me loaded up in the truck to visit Target to purchase our leash. Another great experience let me tell you...we opened the package at the store and put it on Garrett. That was a sight to see. Again being a product of me - he was instantly on the ground throwing a fit to have the thing taken off (sorry mom). WOW I don't envision that working so let just say the double stroller is being delivered next week. YEAH.
For this Saturday since we won't have our new ride the boys and I will venture out of the house to the great Applegate Zoo! Garrett likes the animals and the place is enclosed. Check back next week for another great story!!! I can't even imagine 6 kids the same age (Jon & Kate) or the crazy mother of the octuplets - I would need meds.

Dancing Garrett

Garrett was playing with one of his new musical books and he didn't know he was being recorded. He loves to sing and dance!!!
Garrett's Barney Party
Jam Bandwich comes for Garrett's party!
Garrett started attending Jam Bandwich's music classes last year and loves it so Shelly came to our house and did a session with the kids for Garrett's birthday party. He was so cute, he was performing on center stage like there weren't 20 adults standing around the room watching. He loves his music!!!
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star - Garrett's twinkles were in the air!

Gannon is growing and changing so fast, it's not fair. He is such a good baby - again we get a great routine baby. He sleeps even better than Garrett did at this age and we thought he was easy. I'll keep my fingers crossed that he continues to be so good. We are truely blessed with our second little one!
Garrett saved some love for his baby brotherly at the end of his birthday party.
