Picnic in the Park

After Bounce U we headed to an awesome park in Fresno for a picnic lunch and to the feed the ducks.  I should have know that the boys would be too anxious to eat lunch when all they wanted to do was feed the ducks and play at the park.  It was cute to watch all 4 of the little guys, Robins friend joined with her little guy, feed the ducks.  Gannon of course had to eat some of the bread - that he is allergic to - so he returned home with a rash on his legs!

Camren joined us for lunch in the park so we could check out her new moves!

Bounce U

While on vacation I schedule a Fresno play date with Robin and Jaxon.  Robin and Jaxon had been to Bounce U and really liked it so we thought it would be fun to take the boys there.  Wow was it fun.  $7 per child for 2 hours of bouncing and Mom jumps free!  And yes these Mom's jump or slide, whatever!  The big slide in the small room was broken so we had access to the big kid room the entire time as well.  You bet both of these Mom's climbed the huge slide ladder and enjoyed the big ride!  It was so much fun to gets lots of energy out with our friends.  I can't wait to head back this summer!

The Outfit

I have promised a few time to try and capture a picture of Garrett's outfit choices and here's a great one!  He often likes to wear "patterned" socks meaning one is grey and the other is blue so when I was in SLO shopping one day I figured I would grab him a pair of true patterned socks.  I had no idea they would be pulled to his knees, paired with long shorts (jean I might add) and a shirt that totally didn't match!

He was so proud of his outfit that it made it cute so off to school we went just like that!

Okay, a sweats update too.  When the weather started to warm up we told Garrett he was going to have to wear short sleeves and shorts pretty soon.  This followed by a few tragic mornings and he finally came around!  His shorts were even going to be jean and not sweat shorts!  WOW is all I can say.  I think the kicker is that he has finally learned to snap his own jeans and it now good to go.  YAY the phase is over!  Only a YEAR of sweats!

Grow a Dinosaur

Okay, I know you sick of hearing Aunt Shannon is the greatest...but really she is!  She gave Garrett a dinosaur to grow in his basket and as soon as we got home he had to check it out.  I read the directions and we went to work.  Garrett added all the water as directed and watched the results.  The volcano erupted and out came a dinosaur!  Way cool - to a four year old.  After 3 days of soaking he was full size - in a jar!  Every couple of days Garrett would come over to the kitchen to check on his dinosaur.  Pretty cute.  I can't wait for the science experiment days.

Cousin Time

Heather and Juan hosted Easter dinner and it's always fun to watch the boys play together with Dante.  Gannon learned his name prior to our trip so it was Dante this and Dante that! Shannon of course scored MEGA points with Garrett when she gave them bunny ears in their baskets.  Who knew he would LOVE wearing these!  Seriously he wouldn't take them off all night.

After dinner we took the boys to the park to run off some energy and give the adults a little quiet time for a bit.  Shannon is always so great to the boys to play right along side them.

And even a little fun for Daddy...

Easter Morning

Goosie remains one of Gannon's favorits so I found an Easter book from her friends and a little Goosie toy and knew Gannon would love it.  I aslo have to say that I was impressed with the amount of eggs that were stuffed with options other than candy.  The boys both got a Thomas the Train egg in their baskets and Little People eggs with their books.  Garrett got a Mickey Mouse Easter book and a watch.  He has be obsessed lately about asking what time it is so I thought this was a good fit.

After breakfast we headed to Pismo for the morning.  It was a bit chilly, but the boys love to run of the beach!

I was trying to get a cute picture of Gannon, but he was ready for lunch and a nap!  I guess that explains why he crashed out so fast on Grandma's cozy guest bed!

Coloring Eggs RV Style!

I packed the dye kits and cups for coloring eggs and Aunt Shannon brought the eggs for the boys to color.  Garrett loves this part of Easter and Gannon now does too!  They were excited to make the colors and watch the eggs change as they soaked in the water.  Next year I now know I need another set up dye cups.

And when camping and dyeing eggs - who cares if you make a mess!
