Garrett Learning

Garrett has learned his colors and shapes in the last month or so. About a month ago you could call out a color and he would pick it out of the stack. Now he can say the colors - orange, blue, pink, purple, white, black, yellow, brown, and green is a little tricky still. We are so excited, but with this added knowledge comes extra selection for him! I was feeding Gannon the other night and watching Dave grab a cup from the boys cupboard as Garrett is screaming at him - no no no - oranch dadda, oranch. So Dave had to put the blue lid back and switch to the orange. It is so cute to watch him grow. I swear every morning last week he came running into our room to give me the report on what color shirt daddy had put on him.

Shapes have been added to the list of skills Garrett has - if you cut his sandwich in a diagonal he will gladly tell you that it is a triangle now.

With his continued sponge of knowledge we really need to be careful what we say around him as he is starting to repeat what we say and do. His new word is "Alright" thanks to extra daddy time. His other new action last week after watching Papa use the stud finder on the wall, was to grab the tool himself, put it up to the wall and carefully make a little mark on the wall.

Garrett is too cute!
